How skin needling stimulates collagen production

The active solutions that Monica has available to use with your skin needling session allow her to work effectively on your face and treat skin conditions like facial dermatitis, scarring, hyperpigmentation, sagging skin and wrinkles.

Micro needling is a minimally invasive skin needling treatment. It creates epidermal microchannels that increase the penetration of active substances into your skin dermis. This synergy between the needles and the solution used produces a stimulation and healing response that multiplies the effectiveness of your skin needling treatment.

Frequently asked questions

How many treatments will I need?

You’ll need at least 3 treatment sessions for collagen induction. If you have deeper scarring, you may need 3 to 6 treatment sessions, scheduled 4 to 6 weeks apart, to fully fill in and restore your skin.

How long between skin needling treatments?

We recommend fortnightly treatments for you to get great results, depending on the treatment zone and the treatment aims.

Is skin needling painful?

Most patients find skin needling relaxing. As we are only puncturing the skin creating micro channels in the skin, the needle penetration is superficial.

Are there any side effects?

Like all cosmetic procedures, there are side effects to be considered. Redness and slight discomfort are expected immediately after the treatment. In some cases, swelling and bruising may occur temporarily.

Is there downtime after the treatment?

The recovery time for skin  needling is quite fast. Yes, you may look red for a couple hours after your treatment. However, thanks to the soothing finishing products Monica uses for your treatment, you will emerge radiant and looking fresher. Just keep out of swimming pools, saunas, the ocean and skip the gym for 3 days.
